“Be Quick, But Don’t Hurry”
This is a famous quote from the legendary UCLA Basketball Coach John Wooden. It is a great quote and something we live by at HBC. Most of our clients come to us with the sense of urgency and a bit of anxiety and want to be reassured that their loan will close fast and within the deadlines of their purchase contract. We are very, very keen to the overall process and time deadlines required in terms of a purchase contract such as financing contingencies and overall closing dates. At HBC nearly 90% of what we work on are real estate purchase transactions. Because of our underwriting background we really do take a scientific approach to the whole entire loan process and really have our process perfected. We know exactly what needs to be done, when to do it and most importantly the need to be very precise and accurate to ensure mistakes are prevented so we do not have any unnecessary delays. Time really is of the essence on a purchase as most contracts are 60 days.
Many of our competitors do not have underwriting backgrounds and are mere bank sales people that at best only understand their role (To originate loan volume) and do not see the “big picture” of the entire process from origination to closing. They just hear the buyers sense of urgency and rush and do a poor job, which ultimately causes worse delays for the client. We at HBC can collect and structure deals usually 2 to 3 times faster and more accurately then our competitors primarily because of our extensive underwriting backgrounds. This ultimately means quick approvals resulting in faster closings and contract deadlines being met. At HBC, we do not hurry and make mistakes instead we move quickly, decisively and and meet closing deadlines because of our knowledge and committed work ethic for the benefit of our clients.
